"hearts can get broken by the silliest things. i can still love you with all the little bits of mine"
yesterday was valentine's day, so we thought it would be nice to give a valentine's present to everyone. flowers and chocolates would have been a logistical nightmare, so we decided a new song would be the best thing we could give everyone. so that's what we did. we gave everyone a love song.
the song is called i keep falling in love with you again, and it's the first single to be taken from our brand new album, the great perhaps, which is being released on april 21st all over the world.
it's a song about falling in love with the same person over and over again. about waking up every day and seeing them lying next to you and being so in love with them that it feels like you're falling in love with them for the very first time all over again.
it was one of the first songs we wrote for the new album and one of the first that we finished recording. i remember when we were mixing it i went a bit mad for a couple of weeks and got obsessed with the volume of the rototoms. i kept insisting that pete turn them up higher and higher in the mix until they were insanely loud and he had to tell me that i wasn't allowed to listen to the mixes anymore because i'd lost all perspective on the rototoms. i'm okay with them now.
in case you missed it, you can download the song from a widget on our facebook page here.
or you can go to our soundcloud page and listen to it and download it there.
we hope you like the song.
and remember. love songs aren't just for valentine's day, they're for every day of the year.
"love can be so tiny and it can weigh so little, but even then it can still crush you"
