current listening: the bicycles – the good the bad and the cuddly
just sitting backstage at the chop suey in seattle. waiting to soundcheck. really really enjoyed last night’s show in vancouver. a big thank you to everyone that came out to see us and made it such a nice night. the bicycles were amazing. and i got a copy of their album off them, so i’ve been listening to that on the bus all day. we got up this morning at about eight o clock. everyone else went for breakfast at the elbow rooms again, but i had an email interview to do before we left for seattle so i stayed in bed doing that.
we didn’t have too much trouble crossing the border. the border officials were really friendly and we even signed a cd for one of them. and the drive to seattle wasn’t too bad either. so it’s been quite a nice day so far. chop suey seems like a really cool club, so i’m quite looking forward to tonight’s show.
that’s about it really. i’ve just been answering emails and trying to sort out the last details of the personality test for the website. and sorting out my world cup predictions for the rough trade world cup competition. i put jose fonseca down for highest scorer. not really sure why i’m doing it. i’m always crap at fantasy football type things. still, it should make the ecuador costa rica game more exciting for me.
anyway, i have to go and soundcheck now. one more thing to mention though before i go. if you’re ever thinking of getting us a gift of some sort, smoked salmon is not a particularly suitable one. to be honest probably best to avoid food stuffs in general.
